          I'm on my phone, but at 110v it's a site transformer.
          I believe yellow are 110v site transformers, blue is 240v.

          Mine came from ebay.

            that RS link is confusing,
            it has pictures with both IEC603 (110v) and SCHUKO (230v) input cables!

            that said, i'm not sure a transformer with the output center-tapped to earth is a good idea with switching psu's!!

                Cheers

                Sorry , my error .Posted the wrong link .

                It's just a straight isolating transformer i require for the 240V mains .

                Will spend some time this evening checking a few out , & update on the one i decide to buy .

                    I'm not sure about that - My 240V:240V 2000VA isolation transformer, bought from ebay in the UK looks like a site transformer, it has the same circular 3 pin output connector as a site transformer, and it is yellow, but for sure it is 240v in 240v out

                      yellow plugs and sockets are 110v . blue is 220v . same with external wire colours . plugs and sockets are keyed to try and stop you putting in wrong holes

                          Re: Mains isolating transformer advice please

                          for the record,
                          yellow = 110v
                          blue = 220v
                          red = 415v
                          also is white and purple among others for unusual voltages.
