    Parts Finders; I challenge you! USB3 Jack Needed!

    I need to find this USB3 port off a Dell Inspiron 3463 AIO motherboard that was damaged. There's a number on the top of it: "DR17264", which crossed with nothing. I struck out with digikey and mouser and even ebay....perhaps I'm not using the correct search terms....but this is annoying!! Parts hunting apparently is indeed an art!!

    So here it is, find me one!!

    The board is ready & waiting for a new one....no I didn't scorch the board, that's just flux paste....the holes are clear and ready.

    If you need pics any more detailed than this, just say so....

      The 'tongue' is oriented upside down in comparison to the original....which would have the device backward....would that not have it technically wired incorrectly?

      It annoys me to no end that seemingly none of the US parts houses have these.

                  If only I signed-in yesterday...

                  Does this look like your port?
                  https://www.digikey.sg/product-detai...409-ND/7902374
                  it's Digikey P/N: 380-1409-nd
                  manufacturer P/N: SS-52000-001

                  I actually have one in a parts bag and probably won't ever use it. I bought it for my HP Pavilion p7-1534 / p7-1233w / MS-7778 build, because the case had a busted USB 3.0 port, which I couldn't find a replacement for at all. The Digikey part above was somewhat close, though not exact... so it ended up being easier to repair the old busted port with hot glue and cardboard than to rewire with a new port. Yes, it ended up looking a little off , but it works and I haven't been able to break it with use so far - though I am a little more careful when insterting USB devices than most people.

                  Anyways, if the above port works with your application, but you also don't want to order just that from Digikey, let me know. I can just mail you mine. Like I said, I probably won't ever use it.

                    Topcat, I understand your pain. I stumble onto this problem every time I need a specific type of connector, mostly while repairing tablets or phones. The problem is that even if a connector at first glance physically looks like the correct one, when you buy it, at least half of the time the dimensions, pin locations or etc are off by a small, but still significant amount. If you have the opportunity, find and buy already defective board for spare parts. Some of the connectors are used only on a particular board and are really hard to find. Because of Right to Repair, I really hope that this type of things would be standardized some day, although I highly doubt it.

                    Useful conversions. I don't "speak" imperial. Please use metric, if you want to address me.
                    1km=1000m=100000cm, 1inch=2.54cm, 1mile=1609.344meters, 1ft=30.48cm 1gal(US)=3.785liters, 1lb=453grams, 1oz=28.34grams

                      The 'tongue' orientation in that one appears to be the same as stj's... If the ones I've got coming don't work, I'll go from there.

                      I guess they want to make us repair guys earn our money! I hate trashing any good hardware for things as meager as a friggin USB port....

                        If the new USB socket legs don`t line up with holes just snip them off and solder a wire through each hole then solder to the socket body at the sides.Done that repair on plenty of laptops before. If you want the proper part number for the usb socket you should find it in the schematic , its available at some paid sites, can`t find a free download unfortunately, the file name is "Dell Inspiron 3064 3464 3264 AIO - 15107-1.pdf"
