Acer Aspire 8951G not turning On

Hello my lovely brother

I'm facing a serious problem here:

Acer aspire 8951G with no schematic

Press the power button, lights up for a second and shut down

I checked the power button, it got 3.3v which is okay, and when i press the power button, it goes straight to 0v and go back to 3.3v of which it okay. I have no short in any power rail.

I have no water damage marks or physical damages on the board, i get all required volts even 5v it available, vcore appears as well when power button pressed and shut down

Guys please help what should i check now??

not sure but this could be bios fault ? as all lines ok and SIO seems to works too

Find out SIO pin ECRST RSMRST# if no RSMRST BIOS or SIO issue check all pin of EC bios IC for Voltage

Find out SIO pin ECRST RSMRST# if no RSMRST BIOS or SIO issue check all pin of EC bios IC for Voltage

Laptop comes on and quickly shuts down

I don’t have a schematic

Turns on when i press the power button show green light and quickly shuts down. I have 3.3v obvious, 5v appears as well and quickly goes away after pressing the power button.

But something is confusing me, i checked MAXIM 17511 which is a CPU power Supply controller, the vcc pin is getting 5v as soon as press the power button, again i checked ISL88731A which is a charging controller chip, the VCC pin or VIN pin is getting 5v as well as i press the power button... again there is another chip/controller next to ram, when i check it vcc pin it receiving 5v right after pressing power button and quickly shut down


Vin/Vcc pins for these chips shouldn’t be 19v?

Can anyone send a schematic please for this machine, and please guys help me please, what might be causing this?

Most of the PWM regulators has 5V as vin/vcc.
