Ive had this chip in the drawer of my desk for years and have no idea what its for. Google shows nothing so does anyone recognise it before I bin it. There is a good chance its something to do with computers.

Probably some programmable logic device with custom programming on it. Finding the original intent will be quite difficult, though perhaps it can be erased and reused, though determining which may require pulling the label or perhaps the information is duplicated on the other side of the plastic housing...
