      Oh I've used them often as well ... but I ran out and dug two different ones out of a box and they each had a couple of components on them that I just removed... I did the oven thing and used baking powder. Left one of them in the oven for about 10 hours. Removed it, cleaned it up with a dry brush and some rubbing alcohol. Haven't tested it yet.

      Did read another response in here correctly ... can solder flux actually be conductive if some of it is still on the board after soldering?

        flux is not conductive - BUT:
        flux absorbs moisture and that can be conductive.
