Could just be a failed led i guess did you check the voltages?

Hi Vince - I have checked the PSU compared to the silk screen, and they seem Ok.

At the moment all the boards are on my desk and I am slowly looking through and cold checking Components. On the other part of the photo somebody posted the schematic for the TCON board

Vince by the way, I have literally 1000’s of Computer and Laptop schematics, and other ones I am sorting out.
If I can help you, or the other Folks who have been helping me please don’t hesitate to ask.

I have to go to work now, but will check responses.

        Stay Safe

Have you measured the voltages on the tcon. There is a 3.3v test point just to the right on the non working LED.

Stupid Question - Would a failed LED cause a problem I measured the resistance of the LED and it measures differently compared to the other day which was about 2K for the faulty one

Unlikely, but if you look at it's location it looks to be connected to the 3.3v test point and has 3 caps in parallel.

Don't waste time with absurd tests like searching a faulty status led, them never fails.. start from the more possible causes, remove metal bars from panel's boards, then check capacitors / diodes for shorts..

                      Re: Samsung TV - UE49K6300AK

I'd measure the test voltages on the tcon first before moving on to the driver boards.

                        Re: Samsung TV - UE49K6300AK

The fact is that if the panel tensions are not present could be well that tcon is in protection mode, so opening the bezels is not difficult in these models...

                          Hi David.p

This unit is horrible to open, it took me nearly 30 mins to get into it.
I have been working away, so to be honest, not much has progressed.

I need to get it working, as it takes up so much room.

                          Regards

No good to open 2 threads for the same device, please don't do it more, Samsung never release schematics since the first Led Tv models..
