Samsung T32e390sx tv with no standby [Solved]

    Hi all,

The samsung T32e390sx tv I was presented with today had no signed of life.

The Power Supply used is a BN44-00801a power board and this is used in many 2015/2016 32" samsung tvs.

After checking to see if there was any voltages present, mains voltage was present to the rectifier, and through to the Cold side of the tx.

On checking voltages there was no 13v present.
After the usual check list, i moved to the collection of Schottky Diodes up towards the top end of the pcb.
All but 1 SB5150 was fine, it had decided to go short so after replacement, all voltages became present.

After a full 4 hours of soak testing all was still well.1 happy customer.

There is very little in the way of documented faults or service manuals .

So here's my first of hopefully many of my solutions to problem tvs etc.

    Good work finding the problem.
It is a bad design to have all 4 diodes (D851~4C) connecting in parallel that are not perfectly match and wishing for them to conduct evenly.
