Syncmaster 2443BW power supply pinout question

Hello!
I have an old Syncmaster 2443BW laying around since forever with a broken power supply, and being a noob in this I decided to replace it.
I have bought from Ebay a spare second hand power supply listed as compatible but it has some different pins on the connector.

I've attached two photos.

My question is what's the difference between the DCR pin and the A-Dim one?
Searching around on the internet I found out that the A-Dim pin stands for Analog Dimming Pin but apart from that I have no idea what is its purpose.

A-Dim is used to control the backlight brightness. DCR is Dynamic control, the backlight brightness is controlled according to the video content.

I see! So both are used to control the dimming of the backlight.
In this case if the Syncmaster 2443BW exepects an A-Dim pin but I connect the DCR one of the spare board what will be the result?

Does the main board use the A-dim or does it use the B-dim? Using a-dim for dcr should be ok, these are control pins so it will work or it won't, once connected see if the menu brightness changes the backlight

The main board uses B-dim on pin 1 and A-dim on pin 8.

If you look at the owners manual, the monitor has what is called "MagicBright" this mode would use the dynamic or dcr line to control the brightness, when this mode is turned off you can adjust the brightness manually using the menu buttons. This mode might adjust the brightness using the B-dim line, but I can't be 100%
