Hi, I have an LG 42LA620V had a backlight issue, when powered on the logo flashed up briefly then screen goes off, sound present. So replaced the LED strips at fault, backlights come on as they should, so put it all back together, and now it has another fault! When turn it on now screen lights up but ..... pics attached

Have you put the various panel layers back in the correct order and way round?

Theyre deffinately in the correct order, as I taped the corners together before lifting them out, however they were out a while so I wonder if they the right way round now lol, the thickest rigid one is on the bottom if I remember correctly

The pictures look like backlight LED failure but you did change them all out right? Check the sheeting again

when you change inputs, volume, channel, menu etc. does the image change quickly, crisply. ignoring the colour issue that is.
WHY CAN'T PHILIPS USE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS?

Ive done a factory reset to see if that would rectify, so only screen that comes up is the 1st setup screen, I cant change between inputs

interesting. since you have no inputs, the main board would most likely be the issue.

i was actually concerned as to if you may of damaged the panel during your previous repair attempt. hoping it isn't multiple issues.

tcon board? it looks like a pattern overlaying the signal Ive seen that on a few samsungs. do the dark patches expand and move or is that a photo artefact.

one time friend of me tried to change defect LED on same brand 55LA6208, before he replace the LED he told that LG Logo flashing at first start complete with color too, and after he replaced was the issue much like to you.. the first things i went to check for him the ribbon cable, and exact was one the pins Brocken and make short contact. this old TV because of heat the ribbon cable pins easy getting out from its place. also check them under magnifier from both sides
