![]() Hi
I need a tip. I have to buy a new eeprom programmer. I work a lot with Apple products (Laptop and Imac). These products use Winbond 25Q64FV and above serial flash. I need a product that has a very updated and updatable database and that does not cost excessively. we are currently using a Baghero but it is no longer upgradeable. In addition, the new model is very expensive. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help |

![]() I downloaded TL866II+ manual, not exactly amateur-friendly for following:
Can it reflash a SOIC8 SPI chip in situ? What accessories need to be purchased to handle this? (appreciate links) Am I correct that a Pomona clip is best for SOIC8 end? (also appreciate compatible link/s)

![]() the tl866 comes with the isp cable, but not all chips can be flashed on the board - it depends on the actual board.
i wouldnt know about clips, i have a generic $2 chinese one - it does it's job. |

![]() im using EZP2010 programmer it works fine even with 1.8v eeprom but of course to be safe you need an adapter for that. and also buy the sop8 socket 150mil and 200mil .

![]() I'll third what stj says!
The TL866 is very easy to use - it must be because it is the first eprom programmer I have owned, and I had no problem using it. There was a video on eevblog and that was all I needed. I got one from aliexpress and it works fine |
