![]() These cheap non brand capacitors at it again
Last night we had a power outage [ long drawn out trying three to come back up before going out completely ] and when I went to turn the DVR camera recorder back today no go 3 bad capacitors ( one capacitor no ESR reading on DVR board the other 3 capacitor on the power supply board over 40 ohm this is not a misprint ) on the external switching power supply and one capacitor on the DVR camera recorder board where the power supply that goes to the hard drive disk is Well at least I have the cameras back on line I to try the hard drive tomorrow and see if it got damaged as well One note the cameras are on a medical grade switching power supply by themselves because when I first put in this system I continuously had switching power supply failure on the cameras and had to replace several cameras and switching power supply of because of switching power supply failure All I can say good about this DVR camera recorder and switching power supply is that this has lasted about 6 years so I guess I really should not complain to much about it I will post some pictures of the switching power supply before I put heat shrink tubing on it to keep it together and after I try the hard drive to see if it still work

![]() Yeah it even keeps trying to restart which is really weird even with the capacitors being at over 40 ohm ESR reading because the power supply light pulsing very quickly on and off on the DVR camera recorder
