    Vizio E550I-B2E

Hi everyone I have a set here that wont turn on at all. It has a white standby light but when you press power it acts like it wants to turn on by the light going off but nothing. You guys have any suggestions a tested the led strip with a led tester all is good there. So Now I'm wondering if its the psu, mainboard or tcon? thanks guys. I will upload pics of anything you guys want no problem.

Yes, along the way, this is their typical malfunction.

Easy Peezy, I've found or bought many of these for pennies and fixed for nothing. Glad you fixed it.

just found one of these on curb. WOW - what an easy fix. So what makes the connector solder joints go bad ? Is there a way to make sure this doesn't happen again ? Obviously this board was made CHEAP. horrible soldering on connector and rest of board.

I took out both boards and resoldered both the male and female connectors probably bout 8 through hole on each connector just resolder the entire both connectors with FLUX AND GOOD LEAD SOLDER. finish with ipa alcohol cleaning tooth brush. Tighten all the ground screws in tv as well

The design of the connector and lead free solder along with thermal expansion and contraction.
Did you remove all of the old solder or just added new leaded?

added leaded solder. I should have removed the lead-free solder. I did touch up all the connectors and xformer. Its an easy access - probably have to do it again. seems like connection between boards should have been a short cable

Vizio E550i-A0 no power, no standby light
                        by x_orange90_x
I have a Vizio E550i-A0 that will not power on. It also does not display the standby light in the corner. I disconnected the main board cable to see if the backlights would light but they did not (maybe this is normal for this set?). I checked the voltages on the plug and they all read in mV or 0, so there's no voltage there. The fuses are ok, and the voltages of the 450v caps read about 160v. I see no visual damage on either the power supply or main board. I have read online that the main board is usually the culprit in this model, but not getting backlights with the main disconnected makes me...

Lithonia Lighting versus Light of America Compact Fluorescent product quality
                        by sam_sam_sam
I have a Lithonia Lighting 65-Watt Gray Hardwired Compact Fluorescent

I also have back when Light of America had these light bulbs available for yard lights

The issue with Light of America was the blast boards had all most certain board failure while bulbs hardly ever fail

While the Lithonia lighting fixture has all most certain bulb failure

So I have modified the Lithonia lighting fixture to accept the Light of America light bulb and see how long this will last

I have only had this light fixture for not more than a year if it...
