      is it LA-E791P??. If so removing just the graphics coil will work in uma mode.

        Same motherboard for HP 15 250 G6 with Disc graphic.

        No picture ( there's a backlight ) at intern/extern , try bios/clean me same issue

        EC :
        RSMRST# pin 100 = 3.2v
        6 SLP S3# = 3v
        115 LID SW# = 3.2v
        110 AC_IN = 3.2v
        13 = PLT_RST# = 3.321v

        This voltage at the different coils :
        plz1 = cpu core = 0.931
        plg1 = integrated graphic = 0.692
        pl301 = 3v alws
        pl302= 5v alwas
        pla1 = 1.05v
        pl1001 = 1.05v
        plm1 = 1.2v

        So , can i conclude that it s a graphic issue !

            Thank you mcplslg for your advises.

            No schematic/boarderview available ..i will try another EDP cable ...for LPC i think it needs oscilloscope!! don't have for the moment

              Re: HP 17-bs025cl

              Why not get the kbc datasheet from another schematic and start checking LPC pins on KBC. You can somehow check them with simple DMM. Dont give up without giving a hard fight.

                Re: HP 17-bs025cl

                i know and i use another schematics just to know the pinout of KB.

                For LPC_AD0/1/2/3 = 3.3v

                The consumption is : 0.700 amp

                  Update : i try another motherboard with the same screen and it works , so the EDP cable works fine

                    Re: HP 17-bs025cl

                    @lapfix, with LPC readings ok and PLT_RST present-there are hardly any options left without schematics. BUFO_CPU_RST is something to watch for but not possible without boardview. So seems like end of story. May be someone else have any idea. Still do check the following:
                    01.UC5-pin8-9 for 1.8V & 13-14 for 1.0
                    02.UC6-pin6 for 1.0V
                    03.JU22 for VCC_GT

                    However, i do beleive all the test points above are having requisite voltage.

                    Numlock on usb kbd glows??

                      Hello my friend
                      No UC5/UC6/Ju22 on this motherboard.

                      No reaction from KBd

                      Try to convert it !!

                      Update :
                      75 = AD_ID = 0.649 with psu
                      75 = AD_ID = 0.378 with 45W

                        I'm 100% sure there is UC5/UC6 on LA-E791P mb. Its located near PCH part of SOC

                          Both are part of DC-DC conversion circuit. Your mb is dis??

                            If NUmlock is not glowing on kbd, your mb is not posting. So do probe RAM circuit .PG present or not on RAM PWM?? As far as i remember, removing the two gpu coils make it UMA.

                              Sorry my friend
                              UC 5 :
                              pin8-9 = 1.794v
                              pin13-14 = 0.989v

                              UC6 :
                              pin6 = 0.989v

                              yes it's a disc

                              For Ram PWM = PUM1 i m searching for Datasheet = 4B=4H

                                If i m right ; PUM1 is RT8207P.

                                Pin 11/12 = VDD and VDDP = 5V
                                Pin 7/8 = S3/S5 = 3V
                                Pin 20 = VTT = 0.597
                                Pin 16 = PHASE = 1.198
                                Pin 10 = PGOOD = nothing stable !

                                  Yes PUM1 is RT8207P. Your measurements seems good. PG of ram ic is not used in this mb-i rechecked it as i've one repaired mb in hand-so sorry my mistake. Did you try converting it to UMA??

                                    Hello my friend

                                    Yes removing PLV1/PlV2 but same issue , try the clean me bios same too, try another third bios still the same issue.

                                    So seems like end of story.
