I here from the internet that if you keep connected SCL & SDA together. And start the notebook with F1, you can bypass the password and change it.
I never did this. So you have a risk.

The pass will still be there on the L08 chip,no point patching the bios.

I have decided not to provide any dump here because for me it's not clear what steps are performed with this dump. The steps from this thread did not work for the L560. I will leave the laptop locked as it is if the activation of the ATA security will also not help. Another idea is to buy a new motherboard. I don't like it but this gives me full control.

Good luck for other users who want to learn by themselves.

Many beginners make confusion beetwin SPI flash 25Xxxx and EEPROM's, and they short the BIOS chip.

I suggest you to leave HDD/SDD removed from your notebook. Start and check if you have password without HDD.
If you have password patch the BIOS, run it, put back the original BIOS and check if password is gone. If it is, put back your HDD. If ask for password is clear that your HDD is password protected.

Do you know to use UEFITool ?

I take a look to T490 BIOS. I find two LenovoTranslateService and two BootOptios, I compare and look the same.
Did someone try to patch all 4th of them?

Thanks for your efforts in helping, it's much appreciated/

One question, i've been studying previous modifications of the X1 Yoga and they all appear to have had the VSS2 Certificate store deleted, however the ones here which you patched when i open with UEFItool still show them there.

I think this might be an issue
