The only question for people who have tried BoardViewer is:
    How to uninstall openboardview software?

Re: English version of BoardViewer program

There was a crash at launch on some machines. Fixed in last version.
In the menu "Help" added item "Report an Error", feel free to use it.
The program is currently able to open ".asc"(old Asus TSICT), ".bdv", ".brd", ".bv", ".cad"(only Samsung, MSI in proccess), ".cst"(old IBM CASTW), ".gr", ".f2b"(not all), ".fz" files.

I can't select anything, the program crashes at startup. Or is that in some config file. Either way, i have put a 7300GS card in and your program starts but it does not open any files that i have tried, will have to re-download the latest version and try again, as i downloaded it a month ago or something. This program by remax otoh, opens all that i've tried so far.

          New update available.
Now you can open the GenCAD file format. This format is often used for MSI boardviewes (files with ".cad" extension).
Please, use Menu Item "Report an Error" if something will be wrong.

Could you link to the site where we can get updates? Thanks. I really like your program. I have been using it to easily find 0402 resistors of the right value to scavenge from scrap boards.

You can update the program using the menu item "Help" => "Check for Update".
Also you can download new version from here: http://boardviewer.net/ .
The ability to search for parts by value will be added in the future ( I plan this option).

Cool, thanks. Searching parts by value without a schematic open would be really nifty.

Currently I am working on the possibility to tight together schematic and boardview.

Hi. I'm still working on linking the schematic and boardview. Many plans, little brains .

This is really handy in OrCAD/Cadence -- click on a signal line (in schematic) and see the corresponding traces highlighted in the PCB application!
