SHARP lc-49cug8462ks NO Sound through the speakers

Hi,
Got Sharp lc-49cug8462ks with NO sound through the speakers.
Sound is working fine on the headphones.
In the TV menu can't change from HP to HP+TV.
Any idea what's wrong?

Try easy stuff first, factory reset, no go then firmware update.

Done the factory reset, got the latest firmware.
Still no good

Maybe try heating up or cooling with freeze spray or upside down can of duster your IC chips on mainboard with a hairdryer, see if you get sound even for a bit.

I downloaded the firmware from manufacturer website.
Updated the TV.
Got sound working now but got two pictures on the screen instead of one

Makes me thing that that firmware is buggy, I would email sharp, maybe they will send you the firmware, hopefully they have one that works correctly if it is buggy that is.

Maybe try the firmware update with a different usb thumb drive.

Update instructions:
2ENbUSB software updateUser USB software update• Download the file to the PC.• Unpack the *.zip file, you will get the *.bin file.• Copy the *.bin file to the root folder of the USB stick.The flash drive must be formatted in FAT32 and can not contain any other file.• Turn on the TV.• Insert the USB stick into the USB input of the TV.• Press MENU button on the RC to get to the main menu.• Press ► and go to SETTINGS option and press OK. (picture 1)• Press ► and go to SETUP option and press OK. (pic. 2)• Press ▼ and choose Software Update (USB) option and press OK. (pic.3)• You will get a prompt message, confirm with YES (pic. 4).• Wait until the memory update is completed.DO NOT TURN OFF THE TV DURING THIS PROCESS!• After successful update the TV turns ON.• After automatic TV start, please remove USB from TVNOTE: Make sure you do not leave USB with upgrade file in your TV after successful software upgrade!
