Samsung ue46f5000 standby light flashing

Have a Samsung ue46f5000, wont power on, standby repeadly flashing, 5 times (double flashes)

Pulled the back off, no obvious domed caps etc, disconnected T con, no difference, disconnected main board, no difference. Tested power board on bench with nothing connected and getting 0 readings on all pins.

100% sure that you get ZERO Volt on ALL the power supply pins connector?
The standby must be present to have standby LED flashes, so at the least the standby power supply is putting out something, so recheck the standby power output pin.

I would have thought powerboard, but would rather repair than replace it, anyone have any ideas as to what may be at fault?

What is the DC Voltage measured between the two legs of the main cap in the hot side when TV is turned on?

PS-ON (3.16V as reported) is present but the PFC Boosted Voltage is not present, the Voltage on the main filter cap should be around 380 ~ 400VDC range for the rest of the power supply to be working.
You need to locate the PFC IC, get the spec sheet to get the pinout of the VCC pin so you can verify if it has switched VCC for it to run or not.
Power supply board P/N is BN44-?????

I have the same issue with double flash of standby. Did you manage to resolve this matter. If so be great if you could advise

Samsungs don't have blink codes and the front LED will flash when booting and will be off when the TV is on. If a Samsung turns on and there is no backlight and you can turn it off, suspect an open LED in the backlight string. First test is to disconnect the main to ps cable and plug in the TV to see if the backlights come on.

No I know its not a blink code just an indication of an error because of either a fault on power board or main board.
Not all Samsung when you remove connector to main board from PSU provide power to backlight. Its diagnostically an excellent way to check the PSU.
Are you sure that with this model that will work?
Incidentally I know for sure the backlights for this model are not the issue.

1) What Voltage testing have you done so far on the power supply connector pins that go to the main board?
2) Is your power supply board bn44-00610A, D?
3) Most of these new Samsung models have pull-up resistors to allow self test of the power supply board, you can easily verify if it has pull-up resistors or not by checking the Voltages on the power supply connector pins when it is not connected to the main board.

I recently had a UN40F with no backlight which was odd since usually you get dim backlights versus none at all and it was wired as two separate strings. Sure enough, there was an open LED in each string. I rearranged the strips so that one string had a closed circuit so I could check the screen before ordering new strips. I have yet to encounter a Samsung model that didnt have pullups on the power supply.

Many thanks for your replies.
Nothing to do with backlight. PSU number bn44-00610A.
The fault was caused by a faulty PFC chip SPC7011F. Didnt have one but managed to find one on a scrap board and when fitted fault cleared and working fine again. I belief the original starter of this thread most probably had the same issue but never posted back if it was ever repaired.
So if any members in the future with similar issues with this PSU refer to this link hopefully this info will be of help to them.
