    Transformer help

    http://ludens.cl/Electron/esr/esr.gif

I'm not understanding how T1 is meant to be wired. I made the 400:20 transformer- The primary has 2 leads, the start of the winding and the end of the winding. The secondary is the same... that's 4 leads but the schematic only shows 1 of the primary leads being used. What am I missing here?

    Re: Transformer help

One of the wires of the primary is connected to that capacitor C2
The second wire of the primary is connected to GROUND of the circuit.

One of the wires of the secondary is connected to that point above R5
The second wire of the secondary is connected to GROUND.

Basically, one wire from each side is connected together and then to GND.

It's used to send small pulses of AC to the capacitor put between the test points, the 400:20 reduces the AC voltage.
