    BGA153 eMMC Chip Writer Needed

    Hello,

I have a home automation controller (Control4) where the eMMC chip where some sectors on the chip is corrupted. The controller runs a linux based system. I believe the bootloader/kernel is bzImage.

The model of the eMMC is SanDisk SDIN8DE2-8G.

My objective is to purchase a new SanDisk eMMC chip and flash a working image on the eMMC chip before I take the circuit board to the local electronic shop to remove the old chip and install the new chip. I have confirmed with the local electronic shop that they are able to remove and install the new eMMC chip on the circuit board.

Can someone recommend the most economical BGA153 eMMC writer that is capable of writing a Linux image to a raw eMMC chip.

    Thanks

You could try some of the offshore solutions like:

Best to ask if it is suitable for your project.
