Hello everyone i got this board as untested, it has a short in the CPU 12V connector at 0.05 ohms, what could be the cause? also theres a short in the VRAM circuit i think, maybe they dont like straight 12v too much

So it looks like that burnt area in the VRM could actually be shorting from 12VEATX to Vcore to Ground as there seem to be copper traces all over the place
Obviously you need to clean that area up first and see if it is possible to repair.
Also maybe you have more short circuit High side / and or Low side FEts so you would be best to unsolder and test those as well
Then there could be burnt out Mosfet drivers and even the VRM controller chip - all depends on how far back in the circuit the 12V got to. It may have got to the PCH as well.....Follow me on YouTube
