Palit Geforce GTX 1080TI - not detecting PEX Power

    Hi,

i've got a Palit GTX1080TI Blower with which someone previously tampered and tried to repair it.
Fortunately, it enables the screen, so gpu and stuff seems intact. Powerrails also ok. Only problem is: Despite of having connected both power connectors, it complains that PEX-Power is missing (on screen message, like cables are physically missing) and refuses to boot.

I already asked for boardviews in another thread, which should allow me to better check everything.

But despite of that, any ideas where to start looking?

    Kind regards
    Stephan

Start with fuses of course, check photo of pcb maybe something is missing

      - Fuses are all good
      - rails and voltages are ok
      - no pieces missing

I have a spare pcb (defect, missing components and gpu) to take parts from and compare.

I suspect something in the INPUT_PEX8_DT <----> GPIO path to be fishy.

What reasons are possible for causing the corresponding bios-message?
I thought without working NVVDD the card would not turn the screen on and the board is load balancing between PEX1,2 and PCiE?

I'm relatively new to graphics cards, so i can only access my general knowledge of electronics and computers, which should be plenty, but in this case not enough.
