    Msi 865gvm2-ls

MB stopped working. Tried another power supply. Would bootup to bios intermittantly. Reinstalled original PS and same problems. When it would boot into bios, looking at MB Health, voltages were not very stable. Found this site and low and behold, the 6 1800uf and and 2 1500uf caps from OTC along side the CPU were bulged on top . I'm ordering: 6- 6.3v 1800uf; 2-16v 1500uf; 11-6.3v 1000uf and 6-10v 470uf caps. Will post back with results.

Good luck! Which brand/model caps did you order?

Thanks, This mb has already been replaced, was from a Security Camera DVR server. I just wanted to experiment with it. Ordered rubycon from Chris at badcaps.net.

        Fixed

Replaced 6 1800uf 6.3v and 2 1500uf 16v caps. These were the only ones bulged. I checked the ones removed from the mb and not one was within tolerance. Some were shorted and some open and others were half what they should be. I did order enough to replace all caps on board. After removing one of the 1000uf 6.3v caps and testing it good, I only replaced that one. Board is running great.
