RX 560 - Help identifying missing component

    Hi fine people!

First post here, I have used this forum for resource for a while now, but today I need your $0.02.

I recently acquired a dead RX560, PCB is labelled ASUS, but the fan and product number shows it being a VisionTek RX560X4EYEGX (?).

Anyways, it is clearly missing a component (where my pliers are pointing), I am "guessing" it is a mosfet driver, but would need your advice as to what it should be exactly.

If you have this card or recognize something here!

    Thanks guys!

Re: RX 560 - Help identifying missing component

Is there any PWM / buck control IC on the other side of the PCB near the two buck regulator coils?

It looks like you have a 2 phase VRM above your pliers (Vcore no doubt)
You also have a single phase VRMtop left (Vram for sure)

I can't see the VRM controller for either of these supplies - so could be on the other side

Bottom right looks like the 5V rail (12V in 5V out) 7805 regulator

What voltage is on the output of the 3 pin (plus tab) device below the missing chip? Looks like it could be a fixed voltage LDO.

If that device does not have 1.8V on it, then the missing part could be the 1.8V LDO (probably 3.3V in 1.8V out) in which case it is likely a uP7701U8. If it has 3.3V on pin 3 (input) which you could check by powering it up or check resistance to the PCIe connector, 4th pin left of the notch, and the output is pin 6 than I would say that's the correct part. You can also test this by checking for input/output capacitors to ground on pins 3 and 6 of the missing device, and pin 8 would be ground. If you got that configuration then I'm pretty sure I identified the part correctly.

If it is a buck controller then it would connect to the gates of the MOSFETS near the two inductor coils so you can easily prove or disprove that.

      Excellent, thanks!
[Edit] : You are right, there is a VRM controller on the back: uP6205A and yes, and bottom right is indeed a 7805

However apologies but it seems the card is a mess and isn't actually an RX560, GPU is an NVidia GT220, probably got scammed on this one, nothing makes sense on this card, full mismatch between stickers and PCB.
Good news, it now makes sense why I have not seen any picture of this board when searching for RX560!
I will check the voltage rails you mentioned and I will post an update!

Yes it looks exactly like an Asus GTxxx from the style of the fan.

The real RX 560 is around 2800% Faster

        Oh dear.
