I was able to remove the admin password from the dump you sent.
i did it with utility HPUnlocker.
I am very glad.

Unfortunately, the dump provided by Maxpower3 only displayed the logo and did not load further.

The original BIOS BIN file wasn't read properly from us for some reason, so we did it again and verified the one is correct this time. Sorry for your time and thanks again for your help.

you have posted the update on the site ... post the backup of the bios

I apologize, I'm a noob at this. When I try to backup the BIOS, it's requesting the password, which I don't have.

post the full name and model of the laptop ... which programmer do you use?

Hi i am new to this i have read what i think i have to do to my Elitebook 850 G5 to reset the bios password with the HP unlocking tool, but I am not sure do I reprogram both chips or just one if just one witch one? Any help is much appreciated.

for HP 850 G5 post both copies of the 16MB and 32 MB bios chip ... it doesn't work unlocked with HPUnlocker ...

try this ..you still have a 16MB bios chip on the motherboard..make a copy check it with the HxD program and write the 16MB bios chip sent .. look for the 16MB bios chip on both sides of the motherboard ..

I have a HP ZBOOK 15 G3.

BIOS Winbond 25Q128FVSQ chip

Battery, BIOS Battery and Power Supply Disconnected first.

I used the following Programmer: CH314 mini programmer black with the clip.
ASprogrammer 1.4.1 version

Read bios, Verify, use unlocker tool, Erase bios chip, Write unlocked version

Connect power supply & BIOS Battery, after 3 restarts it worked..

Thanks for the unlock tool, but sadly when I turn on the computer after reflashing the bios, I end up with a black screen and the fan spinning to full speed after 15-20 seconds.

I tried to do this twice now.

This in on a HP Elitebook 840 G4. Can someone help out?
I have included both the original .bin as well as the modified .bin in attachment.
