A1706 - no brain after display replacement

A friend replaced the display on that machine and since then it is dead. He can not remember any mistake.

cpu vcore present. no adaptive voltage. stable 1.8V I think. no chime, no mouse light, no brain. No short on pin 1 J8500 / EDP_INT_AUX_N

All major voltages present and stable except P5VUSBC / PP5V_S4_T_USBC. I do not know what is for really. Can it be normal ?

No difference on external display with internal disconnected.

What way should I go ?

i have noticed this happen before with a A1706 you gotta consider the fact the line on the LCD backlight is like very close to the line near the CPU if I was not mistaken...I think Louis Rossmann said this design was terrible because it could fry the CPU if putting the LCD on improperly. No idea to be honest but I am assuming that 50Volts was injected into the CPU line?

Check the Touchbar connector for damage if a home handyman job. It's right next to one of the hinges. Rossman had a PSA about it a while back.
