Friend of mine, got a L540 , was working fine, no liquid damage , APC ups protected line (AC) good Lenovo genuine charger etc.
All this time, was running fine, lately he told me that it delayed to show picture,extra seconds like 10 sec. but he didn't pay attention , 2 days ago , he told me that the mic stopped showing on the screen ,but he figured it was the headset , so he made (in front of me a restart) and the laptop didn't show screen again.
It was booting, black screen, 5 beep code cycle.
I mean 5 beeps ...pause .... 5 beeps again .
Checked online,found that the problem can occur from CMOS to RAM all the way to BIOS.
Did all of them , separated motherboard, only motherboard to put online,changed with brand new CMOS battery, changed 6 x RAM sticks, the same code error again and again.
Does anyone hasve an insight on this ?
