    Each capacitor has one leg soldered on the top of the board as well as all on the bottom.

      Flood the pad with fresh solder and use desolder braid to remove the fresh solder. Fresh solder tends to be easier to remove.

        got it changed still wont power on does the top need to be soldered to as i only soldered the bottom thanks

          tv use to work then would tutn off and wouldnt power back on for a while . i took apart and touched up solder joints then no power at all. then changed those caps on the y sustain and tried last night no standby i checked fuses on power supply and there good

            i just put solder on the top side of the caps as well and touched up the solder joints on the power supply powered on after a few times of hitting the button then died and wint do anything green light was blinking on control board and everything stopped when it went out

                How do I do that? and currently i cant get the red light or it to turn on or the green light on the control board

                  On that model, you disconnect the cable from the power supply and put a wire in the ps on and the other end to the ground. Then on the mainboard, put a wire in holes 3 and 4. Then plug in the tv.

                        okay i have the mainboard to ps supply mainboard connector unplugged and connected to pins 1 and 3 tried plugging tv in and nothing happened. i have to short 3 and 4 on the mainboard? where is 3 and 4 or i add another wire to the same connector on 3 and 4 thanks

                          tried this and still cant get test patterns. do i have the clip in the right spot on the logic board as mines a bit different then the pic in the pdf thanks

                            These are the holes. I hope you didnt do any damage to that chip.
                            The top 2 holes should be #3&4.

                                  The number of the holes is:
                                  3 4
                                  1 2
                                  Put the jumper in the two top holes.

                                    Thanks I used a bread tie for holes 3 and 4 and plugged the tv in and it still doesn't turn on. Power supply issues? Thanks
