it's not a bios password, it's an eeprom password. If you're comfortable enough, you might be able to unsolder the eeprom and buy a new one (re-programming i've read might have issues)

let me add first, if this is the bios password and not the svp one, removing the cmos battery is the way to do it. If that doesn't work, I found another way

you can short the eeprom while booting. Though this model is the x220
