Thank you. I think I am going to need this the next time I am going to need to change a BIOS setting on my own ThinkPad, as I managed to (please don't laugh!) SUPERVISOR LOCK MYSELF OUT OF MY OWN BIOS. Good thing the Win10 install was clean and I didn't set it to request password on boot. I also left allowance for the F12 boot menu - see, I'm not that stupid. It's my own laptop not for a client or employee of an organization, so why the hell not leave some leeway. I just wanted to protect a few things from possible unauthorized access attempts, because, you know, in public places, laptops get peeked at, typed on, hacked and stolen.

How did I manage to SVP lock my own machine? Yes, I was drunk, but NO, I did not forget the password that I set. I hadn't realized I had exceeded the character limit for the SVP password, and I was outside at the time so I couldn't hear the beep. Hell knows what got set, as I tried the exact password untill the error beep, truncated to before the error beep... it doesn't want to take.

10th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-10850H vPro®

only for 4th to 8th Intel Generation ....

Eventually got it with e475. Kept trying and it worked when I entered 1234 on the patched bios. Let me go through hardware id and hitting spacebar twice.
