Asus K53SD v. 5.1 bios

Good evening. I own an asus k53sd with mb version 5.1. The laptop turns on but does not show anything on the screen. voltages are ok. I dumped the bios with a CH341a and the file is 65kb big. The original Asus bios file is too big to load. I understand that I need to extract only a part of the original file, but I can't figure out which one. Can anyone help me ? Thanks

Use NeoProgrammer or AsProgrammer software, desolder the chip if you can and attach to an adapter board, or you might have problems if you`re using a clip .Choose the chip manually by the part number on top of it .
Make 2 backups first, compare the files with HxD hex editor,look at both just make sure there`s some code in them.The backups should be 8MB not 65kb. Post your backup here before flashing any other bios

Post a picture of the green/white barcode sticker on the ram slot as well .

The chip you selected is only 512kb .Find the bios chip,then don`t auto-detect select it manually,look at the part number on top of the chip. Make 2 backups,don`t flash anything yet

The bios chip is an MXIC 25L512E. The data sheet lists it as 512Kb. I attach pictures. Thanks

Wrong chip,what you`ve posted is the USB3 firmware for the ASMedia IC .
The bios chip is 4MB not 8 as i said at post #4 ,
it should say something similar to 25Q32 on top

That's not right, this dump is ready to use. You must be doing something wrong or the flash is broken.

Good morning. I tried to load the bios "dump_work_rev5.1" but the pc doesn't boot. It turns on but doesn't show anything on the screen. I attach the original bios. Thanks
