    Samsung 225mw displays image for 2sec and go very dark

    I have a TV/Monitor Samsung SyncMaster 225MW 55,9 cm (22") 1680 x 1050 HD that shows image when turned ON but after 2 seconds the image gets very very dark.

    If you look at it in a certain angle with you will see that the picture is still there. This TV/Monitor has like 10+ years old so it can be many problems due the age, battery supply or due to Cap problems.

    Someone have any sugestion or help?

    A more common name for this monitor is 225BW.
    You can search the forum for threads (select "search thread titles only" on the search page with this: 225*

    You will find many examples, you specific failure is called "2 seconds to black" in the repair industry.
