    Viewsonic - VA1912w-3

I dont know how i seem to have gotten conned into fixing all these LCD @ the moment but anyway...

Still waiting for parts on the Benq, but heres another one..

Viewsonic, nothing but a white screen. had 2 of them, 1 with dud caps, and the other one a white screen. .Swapped the white screen PSU into the other and its all good. So, it looks like the video board is having trouble. All SMD(on the video board), so no bulging or anything. Connectors are good, all clean, no bad joints, reseated cables but no joy.

Any ideas? been over with the glass looking for dry joints, found a couple and no joy, anyone know test points or anything which may help diagnosis ?

Oh, its a rebadged chimei a190a2-h01

    Cheers,
    David.

probably don't have power supply to the lcd panel, you must check +5V to panel electronics (smd fuse)

Viewsonics usually go due to PSU caps.

Second that. White screen can be caused by an open fuse on the input of the LCD panel electronics.

PSU is good, as it works perfectly for 3 days now in another monitor... checked all smd fuses, all good...

Guess a little more time with the meter is called for.

          Cheers.

Check the fuse on the LCD panel electronics. If open, screen will be white. I've seen it on Hanns-G and Dell units.
