I ordered replacement LED strips for my Sceptre TV. I'm getting ready to install them. What adhesive do you all use to adhere them to the case? I'm looking for something I can pick up in a brick and mortar Lowes/Ace Hardware place.

Re: Adhesive to Hold on LED Strips?
Problem is you don't know how well those tapes transfer heat into the metal back side of the lcd/tv panel ... the led strips probably use the back metal to spread led heat.
You can use thermal pads or sheets, here's a starting point (selected only ones with adhesive on both sides) : https://www.digikey.com/short/p95d7h
An example:
26$ for 640 mm x 320 mm : https://www.digikey.com/product-deta...359-ND/3042188
15$ for 320 mm x 320 mm : https://www.digikey.com/product-deta...361-ND/3042190
15$ for 320 mm x 320 mm : https://www.digikey.com/product-deta...358-ND/3042187
3.5$ for 150 mm x 150 mm : https://www.digikey.com/product-deta...360-ND/3042189
3.5$ for 150 mm x 150 mm : https://www.digikey.com/product-deta...357-ND/3042186
7$ 150x150 : https://www.digikey.com/product-deta...363-ND/3042192
7$ 150x150 : https://www.digikey.com/product-deta...366-ND/3042195
add around 5$ for shipping.
For a 640x320mm you can cut strips ~5mm wide (~ 0.2") and you can cut 64 segments out of it. You end up with 64 x 640mm = 64000 mm or 41 meters of strip
Or cut 15-16 mm wide strips... whatever divides nicely 320mm or 150mm into equal segments.
... and you may not have to apply the strip continuously, could leave some spaces to save on the adhesive strip.Last edited by mariushm; 07-13-2019, 12:19 PM.

Use this stuff, it's designed for thermal transfer. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Chip-Protec...k/173940996456
