Default RT809F or GQ-4X with mx25l12845emi

Hi guys,

I wasn't sure where to post this as it is bios AND/OR equipment related. I have this 16pin IC that I need to program and a 16pin-clip-adapter. I clip the IC on the adapter (off-board) and connect the adapter to rt809f. The programmer cant detect the IC and if I choose it manually (or similar 25q128bvfg) that doesn't work either.

Can you please tell me what am I doing wrong? Are these chips supported by these two programmers?

Do I need a special adapter?

Thank you!

BR,
George

MACRONIX MX25L12845E dates back from 2010 (at least) and it's a Serial Flash.
Looked up RT809F supported ICs list (2018-12-18) and it's supported.

MX25L12845E is known to be compatible with:
W25Q128FVSIG, GD25Q128CSIG, EN25QH128A, W25Q128JVSQ, ...

Try to select one of these manually (uncheck the Check ID option) and see if it works.
If not consider MX25L12845E to be damaged.

Ok I will try and report back. As long as there is no need for additional adapters other than the SOIC16 clip...
