I have an Ersa rds 80 soldering station which has developed a fault and just showing err on display I have found a burnt resistor on pcb can anyone help me identify this resistor if you have a circuit diagram or similar unit The printed circuit board markings are rd80 ver 2.0 and the resistor in question is R6 Many thanks Last edited by sparcktikus; 04-04-2023 at 05:40 AM.. ![]() hi...if you look to the left hand corner.of picture...says J3.above that it says C18...to the right of that cap there is a resistor marked R8..read the the resistor...it may be the same one you need

Thanks for the input But have just had a look at pcb closer with microscope R8 is 47 ohms but looking at defective resistor R6 it looks like it did have a zero in the middle of resistor |

![]() Based on a picture of earlier version RDS-80 board (similar circuit) elektrotanya
R6 is "560" or 56Ω from Q1-E from +V for U4 opamp TLC272. Q1, T3 is marking "SCC" ? should be PNP? R11 "390" or 39Ω The question is why they burnt up. I can't figure out what the parts are doing, they don't appear to drive the triac or heating element at all. |
