Hi I have a mobility scooter charger that's dead, uve checked the main fuse and internal fuse which are fibe, the main capacitor is showing about 320v on its output but I have no idea what to check next, hopefully someone can help with the supplied pictures

There are a few fuseable resistors with a zero ohm value, rectifier diodes, fets and a few small bridge rectifiers. Check those. You got power laying on the main filter capacitor, right?
Forgot to mention, resolder all transformers and anything that has some weight to it.Last edited by CapLeaker; 04-11-2023, 06:44 AM.

Re: Mobility scooter charger dead 6240803
ok, ill start with the easy option first by cleaning up and soldering, can someone maybe draw a rough path of the power going through? Should the 2 big coils be DC? Also, what's the best way to discharge the main capacitor, is it just a 1w resistor across the points? Ive just been leaving it to discharge slowly but it takes ages, thanks for all your help and info!

Hi, no its not cracked, I think it's just the light in the pic, it used to have leds light up but now nothing. I'm guessing it HAS to be something on the right half of the board as 300v is going to large capacitor. I have no idea what to test on it, could someone maybe draw on it where to test? I need an idiots guide 🙄
