    Mobility scooter charger dead 6240803

Hi I have a mobility scooter charger that's dead, uve checked the main fuse and internal fuse which are fibe, the main capacitor is showing about 320v on its output but I have no idea what to check next, hopefully someone can help with the supplied pictures

explain exactly what you charger is or is not doing. for example is it stone dead, are these LED lights doing anything? Etc. Is the secondary shorted because someone hooked it up backwards? Each little information counts.

Its stone dead, no LEDs or anything.

Thanks for pointing that out, Ill look into that and give it a clean up and resolder

There are a few fuseable resistors with a zero ohm value, rectifier diodes, fets and a few small bridge rectifiers. Check those. You got power laying on the main filter capacitor, right?
Forgot to mention, resolder all transformers and anything that has some weight to it.

ok, ill start with the easy option first by cleaning up and soldering, can someone maybe draw a rough path of the power going through? Should the 2 big coils be DC? Also, what's the best way to discharge the main capacitor, is it just a 1w resistor across the points? Ive just been leaving it to discharge slowly but it takes ages, thanks for all your help and info!

ok so Ive soldered all the connections and its still the same, im not really sure what to check next

                  is that a crack ?
on another note some chargers wont start if the battery is too low .

Hi, no its not cracked, I think it's just the light in the pic, it used to have leds light up but now nothing. I'm guessing it HAS to be something on the right half of the board as 300v is going to large capacitor. I have no idea what to test on it, could someone maybe draw on it where to test? I need an idiots guide 🙄

how low is the voltage of the battery pack ?

I would have to check but I know it charges fine from another charger

ok just trying to rule out simple things first .

No I understand completely, Ive made silly mistakes like that in the past lol

can someone maybe draw on the pictures the route of the power and where I should be measuring?

I've circled stuff to check. Start with the small bridge rectifier and the 2 caps near the LEDs.

Check the primary resistance (1-2) on the transformer, it has an internal fuse and it may have blown.
