    Yamaha YPG-625 No Power troubleshooting

    Hi,

I have this keyboard that I am working on that doesn't power on when connected to voltage. Upon looking at the schematics I believe that the issue is with the power supply circuitry (schematic screenshot and pdf attached). I have poked around the circuit from the DC in jack and for some reason, the two 5v regulators only seem to get around 0.5v in and 0v out. I have tried jumping the power connector to simulate the on switch, but no dice and I get the same readings on the regulators. The fuse is fine and will beep in diode mode. Nothing looks obviously bad or scorched.

What component could have gone bad in this instance?

    Appreciate any help.

Do you have 12 volts DC coming out of the adaptor? maybe the Dc input jack has broken solder connections?

Darn, that was spot on. Sometimes I overlook the simplest things

The pad for the dc jack was ripped off probably due to heavy use. A quick jumper and resoldering job fixed it right up.

      Appreciate the help greatly!
