Hi guys,

I have a question for everyone who posted a BIOS dump of the Dell OptiPlex 3080 Micro to remove the admin password.

If I understood correctly, you need a Flash Programmer to do this, correct?

Which one did you use, i.e. one that can not only successfully read the BIOS but also successfully flash the modified BIOS again?

Assuming you also have a SOP 16-pin Macronix MX25L25673GMI-08G BIOS chip installed.

This flash programmer is probably a very good device, especially if you do something like this often or maybe even commercially.
But in my case it would only be one job and therefore the cost-benefit ratio is not acceptable respectively its too expensive.

Has anyone else used other cheaper flash programmers successfully for the Dell OptiPlex 3080 Micro?
