Hi Guys
I purchased a Lenovo Legion Y545 (i7 9750 / RTX 2060)
The previous owner he told me it failed a bios update.
I thought cool i could use a simple EEPROM Programmer, nope
I didn't realize that lenovo don't use EEPROM chips, but EC
So from my findings i can use a Vertyanov Programmer, to reprogram my EC chip via the keyboard connection, but im not 100% sure on this
The Mainboard in my legion is NM-C221 Rev2.0
The Lenovo EC is
IT8226E-192
1919-BXA
S16YSA
L003
i have been able to get my hands pretty easily on a the bios.bin, the machine also turns on with quick fan spin that stops and a blinking power button light.
In Summary does the Vertyanov Programmer, Support the IT8226E-192?
as from what iv seen it only mentions earlier versions of this chip.
As i know the programmer needs the machine to power to be able to program, which this laptop meets that requirement
