HI, first of all i guess one very fast spike of voltage has hit your house, fast enough to pass over the entire PSU without damaging glass FUSE/Varistor. Then if you want to make things seriously for me you have to test voltages on tcon 'cause i suspect some robbers have cheat you and you bought a bad tcon. IF you want to put extra efforts of work on this pubblish a clear tcon picture with all serigraphy well visible, then i try to guide you through testing, if not you can buy a new one asking for sure to have it from a broken panel tv. Bye
Ok so I have checked all the voltages on PSU and all were present and correct apart from the od/ud connector (not sure what this is).
Also with regards to the mainboard and T-con testing I just replaced them with known working ones (although that sometimes is not the case when buying used items).
Again pretty lazy I did check the mainboard for power and that appear to match the power supply voltages. T-con doesn't appear to have a fuse as such that I could see I have uploaded a pic of it and maybe could be pointed in the right direction for testing.
Also did notice when running my finger along the TV bezel at the bottom had some weird colours that appeared.
Other than that the TV still does the same can hear sound no display it's back together at mo so not to sure when I will look at it again!!!
I retire my guess about bad tcon, in theese newer models ususally something goes bad in the screen section, if one is lucky enough there can be a little cap broken on the small border boards.
Yes I'm getting voltage of the f1, about 15v on each side.
15V with ref to chassis ground?
Disconnect both ribbon cable between LCD panel and the T-CON and see if you will any Voltage you have listed.
BTW, are you sure your DC Voltmeter is OK and accurate since there is no power supply that generates 15VDC so I do not expect to have 15VDC feeding the T-CON?
Got a new t-con board to no avail. I noticed that if I unlock and wiggle the flatcable on the motherboardside I can see a bit of the bottom of the display with an arrow pointing down and all.
So if the two cables from T-CON to the LCD panel are not connected, you still do not see any Voltages at these test points, VON, VSS, 1.1V, 3,3V, AVDD, HAVDD on the T-CON board?
You never tell us what you get on the old T-CON board when the two ribbon cables to the LCD panel are not connected either.
This is with the new one. The old one was the same I think. Which voltages are missing?
These Voltages:they should be way lots higher, for example the AVDD should be 15 ~ 20 VDC.
AVDD- 167.5mv - ~167.5
HAVDD- 0 - 0
VON - 177.6mv - 200mv
VSS - 100 -> 55mv - 100 -> 33.9mv
