    KSGER 2.01 2019 controller problem

    Hi.
I just received this KSGER controller from China, already defective.
Actually it still works, but the STM32F101 processor it heats to 100 Celsius right after power on.
Is there any chance to copy the firmware to a new STM32F101 and replace this one?
    Any advice is welcome.

I already did. But he moves very slowly. For almost a week i try to send him the video and still didn't receive it. I'm afraid to open case because Ali usually is on the seller side and is possible asking to send back for a refund. And the shipping to China costs more than the product itself.

That looks close to a KSGER 2.1S controller (without pump control mosfet option) which used STM32F103C8T6. The "version" number is usually on the OLED side of the pcb. Not 2.01, that used an LDO.

        KSGER 2.1S schematic here.

Check the 3.3V rail is OK. I would wild guess the MCU has an output that is on and shorted to pcb, making the MCU run hot. The chinese play games to copy-protect their pcb from their countrymen ripping off the boards. They move an I/O pin, or have a "special" one grounded.

Check the STM32F101RB MCU unused pin connections - some might be tied to +3.3V or GND with that port is assigned to output i.e pin 28 is odd in your picture?

I have seen KSGER controllers with pin configuration wrong, like they screwup CubeMX or something. And of course sell those controller boards .

You'd have to check the Russian sites for firmware, and they also have the key-gen needed to activate the KSGER firmware.

Re: KSGER 2.01 2019 controller problem

I identified the board as KSGER v2.1s r3, acording to dreamcat, here: https://github.com/dreamcat4/t12-t24...-and-Ve2.1S/r3
Just my board is marked only as OLED. No other marks.
I found the russian keygen, but not the firmware for this board...

On-board R3/R6 (R2a/R3a on the schematic) from the voltage regulator feedback was not well soldered and i think the STM32 was powered at too high voltage unil i seen it. But now it's too late.
The voltage regulator is just fine now, delivering 3,27V.
          The Vdd pins sould be connected inside, but i measure 3,27V on pins 48 & 64, 1V on pin13, 1,8V on pins 19 & 32.
