    BN44-00206A VS BN44-00207A Samsung PSU

    Hi All,

I Recently purchased a BN44-00206A from Ebay, and Received the BN44-00207A Counterpart.

The 207A is the 50" Model PSU
The 206A is the 42" Model PSU

At a glance the boards appear to be identical, although I assume that the board either has slightly larger caps that allow for more power to flow to the X and Y boards or something similar. I am just worried that using this board will damage my other known working components.

Anyone have any knowledge on this board and its two versions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    BN44-00206A
    BN44-00207A

As you can see there are slight differences. Manual shows the same plug types and pinouts..I think it should be ok would just like to know if someone knows for sure.

      FYI:
According to shopjimmy: BN44-00204A is the substitute for 206A.

Thanks for the response Budm, Here are some images of the Manual that I pulled my Info from.

Am I correct in my previous assumption? If the board has the same outbound pinout headers then the device should work without issue?

        Thanks again.

I just look real close at 206A board pictures from shopjimmy, there are two check boxes: one for 42" BN44-00206A, and one for 50" BN44-00207A.
That means the 206A PCBA and 207A PCBA use the same blank board but stuffed with different parts.
So the board that you bought, which check box is marked?

You are correct, they use the same blank PCB

The original board is checked with the 42" (206A)

The purchased board (which should have been a 206A but is the 207A) is checked with the 50"

After a further look, I was able to determine one difference on the pinouts .

On the CN801 the first pin says FAN-ON (on the 42") (Left image 1273)

On the 50" it says VS-ON (Right Image 1274)

All other pins are identically labeled

I have noticed the difference in AMP the 42 is 8 AMPs and the 50" is 10AMPs
Other than that. not much. It is my understanding that I should be fine so long as I check the Va and Vs and ensure they are properly set/adjusted for the 42's X and Y's

Also, I have both boards on hand so I can supply you with any images you need.

The main thing is it took a week to get the board, it was the mistake of the person i purchased it from, and inorder for me to get the proper part, it would be more time and money on my end due to this mistake on the sellers end.
