    MOBO: Slinky MB 17893-1
Does anyone have maybe a schematic and/or boardview?

Its U6401, but more important is why it blew up...

        U6401 = Silergy SY6288DAAC.

It is a common USB load switch that can be replaced with many others including Diodes, etc.

I've desoldered it, and pin 4 has 9 Ohms when measured to ground...
I think its too small. What do you think? Maybe its shorted somewhere else?
This blew up, when user pushed the "battery reset" button on the daughter board which also has 1 USB 2.0 port, audio jack, sd card reader, LED's and power switch (so it must be connected).

Is this on the logic board with the defective U6401 part removed ?

If yes, then the EC component may be defective.

            USB_PWR_EN# is driven by U2401.

Locate the next USB load switch @ U3501.

What is the resistance to ground for pin # 4 for that device ?

              Re: Slinky 17893-1 Schematic needed

The U6401 probably powers the daughterboard USB 2.0.
U3501 pin 4: 9 Ohms resistance to ground without desoldering.
It's on the opposite site of the board, and its for USB3.0.
Next to it, theres one more EU3503, with 6 pins, probably for second usb 3.0, and pin 5 has also 9 Ohms.

Can you please send a screenshot of the Daughterboard schematic? its connected to IOCN1, theres a battery reset button, and U301 IC, and few other.
I'm thinking that maybe something there is broken.

If the daughterboard will be fine, can I run laptop without USB load switch U6401, and it should run fine?
What could cause the damage to U6401? It happened after the user pressed the "battery reset" button on the daughterboard.

Re: Acer Spin 3, N17W5 MOBO: Slinky MB 17893-1

I've desoldered the U6401, and tried to run the motherboard with small amperage, and the U3501 near USB3.0 gets to 120 degrees celcius very quickly. So something else is wrong here. Is there any way to get the schematic for this board?

Thank You very much. I'll look into it, and try to find the culprit.
                        Thank You once more!
I hope that I can fix it with my minor knowledge
