LG 60PV450 - Replaced Z-Sus, now display has purple snow/fuzz

    Hi There,

If memory serves me right this set was totally dead when I acquired it. Replacing the z-sus brought it back to life but with some purple haziness across the whole panel.

Vs and Va are within tolerance.

By making some slight adjustments on the Y and Z boards I was able to make it better but still noticeable

What are my steps to isolate/solve the problem.

Eek! Looks like it's got '00s-style glue!

What about the VSC voltage? what is it and does it match the panel sticker. Try adjusting the set_up & set_dn controls, Mark there positions with a felt marker before adjusting them.

Check the solder under the coils of the y and z sus boards. They crack over time and need to be re-soldered with lead solder.
