Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Hi Guys, Hello from the UK. I have just found this forum after trying to find information on a Ripmax HW1200R 20A PSU I have in for repair. Have been repairing industrial and domestic equipment at component level since the days of thermionic valves and GTX germanium transistors, so can find my way around most problems but some guidance from other engineers or a circuit diagram certainly helps. Looking forward to helping others where required.

        Hi all,

I am located in Eastern Washington state and have been working with electronics since building my first crystal radio at age 10.

I worked in a radio/TV repair shop during my high schools days and still remember how to troubleshoot vacuum tube sets but, these new plasma sets look like they came from Mars. Anyhow, i am working on a friends Panasonic that started with a 10 blink code and now have it down to 6 blinks and I think the TNPA5081 no suffix SC board. Looking forward to learning a lot from this forum.

          Hello, Porkfried here!

I'm really new to all of this, learning as I go. I've never been shy about Googling my way through and repairing things, and I thought this might be a good source of information and a chance to learn.

I came here from a really great YouTube video about a problem I am trying to solve.

I don't have as much background as most of you. I am simply a diversly skilled individual with a major thirst for knowledge and an insatiable desire to fix/create/modify just about anything, especially electronics. Alas, I am but a novice and could use some mentoring. Any takers? Lol

Joined to see how I can repair my I-Inc 28" monitor. I have been using/working with computers since the '70s...Digital Equipment PDP-11/4 and paper tape & punch cards. Have built PC's since you could, and my first "luggable" was an Osborne. (brother had a K-Pro, much nicer screen) Got into programming and found out don't care much for it, then moved into management...(I know booooo) Have my own business now, where I build pc's, networks, and maintain small offices. So I still have the desire to learn new things and fix my own stuff.

I'm new to the forum, I occasionally need to repair electronics for my family and self... Best I've done was trouble shoot capacitor issues and breaker issues in the home HVAC and my computer.
