    I going to try this power supply on KSGER STM32 T12 soldering stations
    and see how they they play with each other

    These two repairs where found with a ESR meter...> Temp at 50*F then at 90*F the ESR reading more than 10%

    1 Over Head Crane Current Sensing Board ( VFD Failure Five Years Later )
    2 Hem Saw Computer Stack Board

    All of these had CAPs POOF
    All of the mosfet that are taken out by bad caps

    It looks like it's for a Spacelabs Medical monitor. Should be high quality.
    Medical IEC60601 power supplies have very low leakage current to earth ground (no Y-caps or very small) and extra isolation between pri-sec, extra EMI filters.

    I would not use a T12 without earth-grounding the 24VDC side. A floating tip can get stray charge on it.

    Make sure your T12 controller has the big electrolytic cap 100uF 35V or so on its 24VDC input. The controllers without it seem to die from voltage spikes.

    All Electronics sometimes has surplus PSU's with good pricing.

        Look at the picture and tell why there is two transformers I have only seen this a few times before and wondered why it was done this way

        I know if the switching power supply has stand by power it would be setup that way or if you have more than one voltage it might be setup this way also

        I can not seem to spell correctly ( to ) was suppose to be ( two ) in the photo

          AULT is made in Korea?

          It looks like it has an extra stage for PFC, so there is an extra inductor and power mosfet and two (different) primary capacitors.

          If that is wrong, they used two transformers to keep the unit low profile. But they each have different part numbers so that does not make sense.

          It's weird there is a loose coil wound around both of the magnetics, going to the white and black wires. Are they cancelling some EMI or something.

            It looks symmetrical to me, almost like it's a design for +/- 12v or 24v (2 x 12v in series)
            Transformers seem the same size and shape, just one digit different in the number, I see to-220 transistors or diodes on both sides , capacitors on both sides... almost like two identical circuits.
            There's an extra inductor and what seems to be a minimum load resistor near the top corner but that can be explained as additional filtering.


            It's a "medical" grade power supply, so it could be they made it this way to reduce AC leak on the output from the transformers, maybe to reduce EMI (also has that extra shielding stuff)

              I ran the power supply on KSGER STM32 T12 soldering stations and results were very good with this power supply

              But I have a question and a problem with these

              The problem I am have I have two T12 tips one works the other one does not

              The one that works has a heater ohm reading of 10.something and temperature sensor reading of 50 megohms ( T12-K )

              The one that does not work has a heater ohm reading of 10.something and a temperature sensor reading of 2.5something megohms ( T12-B2 )

              What is the temperature sensor reading should what range for it to work in ohms

                What problem are you having with the T12 tip? I find it's usually the socket in the handle making a bad connection. Mine read 8R for the heater and about 2.5MEG to the tube, I think the cement has this resistance.

                Inside, there is a heating element in series with a thermocouple. It all ends up two wires, this is the ingenuity that Hakko came up with. The tube is a ground, for the tip.

                You get 4.5mV at 450°C from the thermocouple. It is very a tiny voltage and the T12 controller amplifies this 250x.
                There is also a NTC thermistor in the T12 handle to read socket (cold junction) temperature.

                  I am getting an error message on the screen that flash’s and temperature
                  going back and forth repeatedly

                  The tip that does not work is the soldering iron controller that took a shit I think that why that one does not work right that was one of my battery spot welder controller that took a shit both of them are on the same board

                    i have seen pictures of them with bad connections to the wire

                      It looks like the heater wires are crimped (or spot weld?) to the collars.
                      If you're sure the socket is working and the tip pushed in far enough, I guess take it apart.
                      I have aluminium FX9501 handle and you have to push the tip in so the tube crimp cannot be seen.
