Toshiba Excite 7 - AT7 , Please help identify this IC

I am working on a Toshiba Excite 7 - AT7. The IC in question had a short and was heating up.

The Markings are 27D28.

I havent found a datasheet for it on the web. i have attached a photo. I dunno if its a regulator or the charging ic. I would also ask if there is an alternative for it?
p.s. its the 6 pin marked Q13

The fact it is marked Q13 suggests it is a transistor and not an I.C.

Thanks for replying R_J. I have tried to search this transistor to no avail i am trying to find a suitable replacement so any help is welcome. Havent been able to decode 27D28 to find out its datasheet or equivalent.

The top most left leg is Vin...

The logic board is available for $9.95 on ebay. May be worth reviewing as an option.
