make a backup copy of the original bios of the laptop and try item # 3.27, if it doesn't work post the backup here ..

Please help me to reset/bypass BIOS password for a Yoga 500. Tried Autopatcher but it gives the following error message:

Using UEFIReplace to inject DXE drivers...
yoga 500-14isk orig.bin is corrupted or does not contain a correct dump.
There was an error... Aborting.

Machine details:

machine type: LENOVO YOGA 500-14ISK 80R5002RHV
mb PN: 5B20K36393
mb type: LT41 SKL MB 14292-1
sn: R90H5Y1Z

Attached the BIOS dump as well.

Your post was moved here from the Autopatcher thread. Don`t assume or expect the Autopatcher to work with every model because it doesn`t. Flashing a virgin bios will remove the password, copy your DMI to the new bios first.

OK, I see.

How can I identify the DMI area in my original dump? There is no "LENV" word in it...
