HP 15-ac105nj have a short on ROM (bin4+8)

Hello my friends,
i know that bin 4 on ROM chip is ground
and bin 8 is for VCC

i have a short between ground and both of bin 4 and bin 8 on the ROM Chip
how i can troubleshoot that problem?

is that a processor fault?

can i inject bin 8 with 3.3V using the power supply?

what is your Bord ID don't' inject 3.3V only 1-1.5V you can increasing amps , check the resistance to GND on pin 8 BIOS chip does the MB have 2 Bios chips ?

first is try to take off the bios chip from the mobo then test the ic pin look for short.. then try to check the board and check it for short, what is the part number of you eeprom ic. get the datasheet then compare the pinouts. try to buy the same eeprom if defective .post here what you discover.

Pin8 of main bios shorted to gnd indicates a short on PCH-The pch itself may be shorted or some component on 3V rail may pull that rail to ground. Remove the bios chip from mb and check pin8 resistance again. Your 3v coil is very likely shorted-so remove 3v coil and check which side is shorted. Inject 1V on that rail and gradually increse amps to see if there is any warm component. Good luck.
