      yes,
you can ask the chip for it's ID(part number) and if it's not protected then you can read out the code memory's(it has 2) and the option-bytes

              Re: Numark NS6 Usb problem

I found this, it seems the same but without the use for the command prompt, just install it, sorry I'm looking for a shortcut but for the first time I use this programmer and I would like to make things easier

i'm a command-line / Linux type of person so i was hoping someone else would link dudess and the zadig driver installer

Sorry but I don't understand, is it okay or not okay for what I have to do?

Thanks, surely I will need you as soon as the programmer arrives, in the meantime I have written to numark to send the firmware let's see if they are good

Based on the image, could you tell me what the settings are for doing the atmega162 function test?

                          Re: Numark NS6 Usb problem

you would set the "programmer" to usb-asp,
then select the "detect" button on the right i think.

I would also like to understand if I have to power the card where the ATM is located or there is no need, and how can I understand the polarity of the isp connector, I would not want to do any further damage

                              good questions.
the programmer can supply power *if* the connector on the numark uses that pin.

getting the connector the right way, well this should help

                                Re: Numark NS6 Usb problem

This is the error message when I try to test the chip, but from the same message even without a cable connected, I tried powering the card and without power if someone could tell me where I am wrong I will be grateful to him, or simply the chip is dead and there is no response

i think the chip is dead.
i'll try it myself later without a chip to compare error messages

                                          confirmed,
that message is what you get if it cant see the chip / the chip is not responding
